My focus this week was to show that I understand how to do my learning goal. To show that I understand my learning goal for maths I made examples on slides and how I got the answer for each and everyone of them. In total of questions I made is 24 questions I did try my best to answer them all correctly and make how I did it also correct. I did many examples to kinda make it sound like I'm showing people how to do it. To do it I add the whole numbers together say if I had 4.5 + 3.2 = __ I would add 4.0 + 3.0 = 7.0 then I would add the other numbers so 0.5 + 0.2 = 0.7 then I would add 7.0 + 0.7 = 7.7.

About kookaburra's

 The kookaburra is the biggest bird in the kingfisher family, the size is around the size of a normal school ruler. There are lots of types of species of kookaburra. You can usually only find them in Australia. 

Kookaburras are really handsome looking birds. They are also really cute, with dark bands across they're like a superhero mask and really spiky feathers which makes them look like a punk they have big heads and really strong beaks. Some of the kookaburras have a light body with darker wings. Kookaburras are the best known for their call known as really loud clocks like a crazy human laugh that wakes everyone up. The kookaburra tears are very important. They use them to announce their territorial boundaries to each other

How long is a kookaburra?, 

      30-40 CM.

Which country does a kookaburra live in?,

         Australia.

How strong are the kookaburras beaks?, 

         Very.

What texture are the feathers?,

         Spiky.

 Down a little bit from all the other clouds the darkstorm-cloud had been working on his creation ready for the stalk that he loved. The stalk flew in to get his delivery, tired and some of his feathers fell off. Gus had wiped off his feathers, the bird then backed away from Gus, scared. Gus then performed  his magic and made the tiny goat come to life. But the goat ran into the stalk's stomach. Gus then saw him look up to the other cloud in the sky with a puppy  having fun, he was extremely jealous. Peck turned around and looked at Gus scared and Gus handed the package and Peck flew away with the rough goat. Would this goat be too  much to handle for Peck?.

The accidental fall

Cora was running to school with her always late friend Jordan, they were almost late for the hiking trip. They almost got left behind. They then got on the bus quickly before the bus left and off the bus went. 

When they were there they were told to stay with the rest of the group but Cora saw a separate path so she decided to leave the group and go on the path. Cora also forced her friend to come with her. She then went walking for a while and they found a beautiful sunset near a lake. Cora asked Jordan to take her camera and take a picture of the sunset. ¨watch out” said Cora. Jordan didn't hear her and fell luckily Cora grabbed on to him but they both slipped down into the dirty mud hole. Jordan tried to climb up the hole but Cora had sprained her ankle. 

The group then realised that Cora and Jordan were missing so they went back looking in all the paths. Jordan shouted out for help, the group heard Jordan call out for help and followed the sound until they found them. Mr Gill called their parents and said to come over. Cora got in serious trouble. Her mum always wanted to stay away from Jordan because she was always getting trouble when she's with him.

Joy Story

The boat started rowing, it was a bit slow,  definitely a long ride. Joy was as happy as a fairy. Joy started barking “woof, woof”. Joy was looking around and spotted two purple dragonflies. The dragonflies were flapping their wings, to stay above the water. She was super excited, Joy was laying her paws on the edge of the boat. She was watching the dragonflies fly away, into the cloudy night sky. Jumping and moving around because she was super happy.

this week I had to do a poster or slideshow or screencastify about showing that I understand multiplication and division facts 2x 5x 10x and I decided to do a poster also it has a skip counting area because I was asked to include. I hope you enjoy my learning

Goal: know multiplication and division facts of 2x 5x 10x.

                  Multiplication

                                             Division 

10      2 = 5 

              Skip counting in 2s

 

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42,                 44, 46, 48, 50

             

             Skip counting in 5s

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50

                 10, 20, 30, 40, 50

    2 x 5 = 10

In multiplication you can actually use questions that you know for example for this one

 you can use your knowledge in halfs because 

I bet you probably know half of 10 

As you can see its 10     2 the way to figure this out is so you know how half of 10 is 5 or 5 + 5 is ten well the answer would be 5 in this question also it can also be the kind of opposite of this for example 10   5 = 2

How to write a good Email

             How to write a good Email

             

          Language

                

1.  Don't use inappropriate language.   
2. Don't use short misspelled language like r u k.
3. Make sure that your writing is spelt correct.

                          

           Writing

1.  Make sure your writing makes sense.
2.  Use full stops and stuff like that in the correct. Spots.
3.  Use capital letters for the first letter of a name any type of name.
4.  Don't use all capital letters because then it seems like your shouting and you don't want to do that.

Unit fractions

this week for maths I learnt about unit fractions

a unit fraction is a fraction where the top number is always one 

this blog post is basically about me exsplaining what I learnt and what a unit fraction is

there was a thing that kinda confused me a bit but I figured it out anyway it was also based on greatest to smallest here is basically what I learnt 

was that the bigger the dinominater the smaller the piece so basically the 1\4 is greater than the 1\8 so that is what I learnt

For blogging

1. make sure you have a catchy title and matches what you are sharing
2. make sure your spelling is correct and your writing makes sense
3. make sure you always ask a question at the end

For commenting 

1. make sure you include something positive as in something nice
2. make sure you add thoughtful its nice and helpful and yeah
3. make sure you include something helpful like tell them how they can improve their blog posts 
4. make sure you answer their question if the ask one
5. make sure your writing makes sense and your spelling is correct
